Hey guys ! I'm new to the group.
I guess I've been very frustrated lately. In HS I was very active and going into college I actually lost weight bc of stress and I was in a bad relationship, I weighed 110lbs. After awhile I turned around and gained my appetite back gained weight and went to the gym. Well over the course of the years, I've been very active zumba and weights all that. I guess I'm frustrated now because I weigh about 196.8. Now I saw my nutrionist and all that jazz and have to keep and food journal again. Did blood work everything is fine. I am proud of myself bc I when I went to see my nutrionist, the body scan they did showed I was 108lbs of muscle. And 114lbs is everything combined water weight etc... I guess I'm frustrated because of the number on the scale.
See my jeans are a size 10 and I can wear vneck tees that fit a size small or medium... but it's just the stubborn fat is hard to loose. I exercise about 4x to 5x a week. Low to high impact. I work 2 jobs but at the hospital I walk about 5 to 10 miles depending how busy. Fast food and junk food make me sick. Like last time I had panda express was 8 years ago and wendys about 4 months ago....never ear mcdonalds and if I were craving sweets it's starbucks frapaChino. And fast food to me is Texas Roadhouse.
I think my biggest problem is exercising but eating enough calories. I have to log atleast 1600 calories for a month and nutritionist says I got to eat more because my body's in starvation mode. But by the end of the day I'm exhausted. I have a decent diet... but some days I barely reach 1200 cals... and when I do work at the hospital, my pedometer days I burned 900 cals. So preety much burned all the calories I've eaten and then expected of eat a little more than that. I love salads and veggies and that's my problem there bEcause even if it is healthy it doesn't give much calories. ..
I just want to be a little Leaner and not have fat jiggling around. But since I've moved and live around a military town, motivation to exercise here is slim to non here in the county side. Can't find any fitness classes that are challenging or find aNY places with a decent price. Like kickboxing? Jeeze it's like$300 bucks a month for membership. Offer limited workout classes on military base because not enough attendance. Anyone have an idea for home HITT workouts? Something fun and I could stick too. Idk what else to do....

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

Also, there is no possible way that you are NETTING 300 calories/day, and not losing weight. You are not in starvation mode. You would be anorexic at 300 net calories a day. Your calorie count is off somewhere. Good news is, once you find out where you are off, it can easily be fixed.
What is your weight loss goal? If you are a 10, and you fit into smalls and mediums, it doesn't sound like you have much to lose. Set a realistic time frame. Go for 1/2 or 1 lb per week. Slow and steady is what will get you there.
@lzz - I think your pedometer is overestimating your calorie burn. In order to burn 900 calories a day, you would have run MORE than a 10k race every day you work. Walking 5-10 miles is not the same.
