I've had a lot more downs than ups lately so Monday I decided to get back on track. I started by working out again with my co-workers at lunch. I decided about a month ago to change my schedule at work to come in a half hour later and not take an hour lunch, thought I'd get more done at home and would help with things all around. I thought I'd exercise in the mornings and that'd didn't happen like I wanted. I was either too tired or just made every excuse in the book. I was becoming very unhappy not being out with my friends and working out. I didn't realize till then how important a buddy system is. So glad I'm back and making exercise fun with friends.
I've had a good few days so far and trying to just stay focused and stay on track. I'm in a happy place right now and hope for it to continue and try thinking differently about things and life instead of sweating the small stuff. I know I am not perfect but I am very hard on myself and I don't know how long this up will stay up but I know when I am down I get myself right back up and try again. Never give up on yourself no matter what.
Someday I will get there but I need to focus on being happy and healthy and not wanting to be this other person that I know I will never be. My husband married me for me and not a skinny model....lol. I need to accept that along with my curves that he loves. Life is too short and going by too fast and I wanna change that. I wanna remember the happy days and not dwelling on my weight all the time. It just makes me very unhappy and I let it get the best of me at times.
You are not alone. Stay positive, stay motivated, get a buddy system going, do your best and when you have a bad day or meal, make the next one better!
Thanks for reading. Just wanted to get this out there to remind myself that I am doing good by staying focused right now on ME and being happier.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...
