I had been seeing a M.D. whose focus is weight management. It's not cheap but my diet and weight has been pretty much under control for the 2 yrs. I was going monthly. I have been taking phendametrazine - similar too but around longer than phentermine. They really monitor and will only prescribe meds for a month max. I have to diligently count calories. When I don't,the weight slowly creeps back. Thought I could continue on my own as I was only taking the meds when I really was in danger of overrating. Long story short, I've put 20 lb back (of 50 lb lost) on in two years. Back to counting calories, taking the meds daily (had about a month supply left) and made Dr. appt. for next month. The meds help me tremendously, don't make me hyper or antsy at all, just take the edge off the hunger. Bottom line: the meds can be dangerous if you're not being medically monitored. The monthly doctor visit and meds cost about $140/mo ( which is why I stopped going) and labs,EKG, etc. may or may not be covered by insurance. For Christmas, I'm telling spouse I want a year of doctor and meds again. Anyway, I've lost 4 lb now-again- and the meds do help me stay on track but I have to count calories diligently. Good luck.
It does help. It just make you not want to eat as much. it has natural antioxidants. I take one in the morning with breakfast and then one in early evening. look it up on line.
