What is truely a good amount of calories to take in a day? I am fairly active. I walk 3 miles at least 3 times a day and I do pilates for an hr 2 times a week. I want to loose weight. I have been trying to eat about 1300 calories a day. Is this too much to loose weight? Any suggestions?

some of that would depend on your weight and body type. www.sparkpeople.com has an assestment that you can fill out and it will list what your caloric intake should be.

What Lant said . I would do that. I don't know what you weigh but I believe if you exercise that much that you might be eating to little. for you .Check out sparks people . They are great.

okay i figured it out and even without adding the exercise it says that they recommend between 2000 and 2500. That seems realy realy high to me. I am 5 ft 4 and just a little over weight as far as the BMI is concerned. about ten lbs. I really would like to loosed 30. this would be my ideal.

I have talked to my doctor about this cause i had the same though, he said that your body only needs 1200 though depenting on your body but sounds like your about my size. Normally if we dont watch what we eat, 2000-3000 is easy to eat but if you want to lose weight i think and was told 1200 was ok though for you if you really walk that much i would do 1300 - just my advice

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
