If you try it do so with caution!
A semi-low carb diet which allows 100 grams of carb daily will probably work and is less extreme. There are two problems with eating a truckload of protein: the COST of the diet, and you are not getting the good NUTRITION of fruits, veggies, and whole grains.
Good luck!
I have been doing this for about 3 months & so far have lost only about 12 pounds the whole time, not in the first week. Doesn't seem fair that I feel so deprived and still not dropping the weight like I want to. Sigh.
Still, I think some of that resistance to weight loss is the insulin I take. Anyway, I'm blaming on the insulin. NA na NA na NA na.
these types of fad diets e.g atkins, work in the short term, but if you are a die hard carb lover it is unsustainable, therefore you would probably gain it back! try opting for diet carb foods e.g. weightwatcher range breads, wholemeal pasta spaghetti, cous cous instead of rice, and vegetables. eat plenty of lean meats, chicken and protein, and have a cheat day once a week, where you share a pizza or a curry! Just think could i keep this up for life, and if the answer is yes then go for it! It should be a lifestyle change you are looking for not a diet!
