I needed a place to put some personal thoughts onto 'paper'.
Anyone is welcome to read them and comment on them... I am an open book and have nothing to hide. I aim and hope to inspire others by my ranting.
I was chatting with my hubby this morning and asked him if I looked like I had lost 20 lbs. He said of course (due to the type of clothing I am now wearing and the sizes...) but he questioned the amount of weight. Well... it is that amount of weight. Two days before joining this group I weighed in at 165.0 lbs. I couldn't shake it and I ended up doing a two day cleanse and lost two pounds. So when I started my journey (and coincidently I found this group and joined) I was a lot heavier. I can't believe that I lost 20 lbs in three months... just shy of three months actually. It's like reality hit and I'm shocked. I've just been looking at what I could lose per week and then making mini goals. I honestly didn't realize that I lost that much weight.

Hmm... I don't think I did so great today.
Went out for the evening and ate too many potato chips (actually Hickory Sticks) in the car on the long drive. I had gone shopping earlier in the day with hubby and he grabbed them. He also grabbed other brands and flavours but I begged him NOT to get the Hickory Sticks. They are my absolute favourite and I have a weakness towards them. We were about to set on our journey and he grabbed them from the counter and cracked open the bag en route. The smell was unbearable and I was showing such willpower. But I was weak and crumbled to the suggestive power of the smell, sound of crunching (by hubby) and the thought of the flavour tantalizing my taste buds. I WAS WEAK!!!! I started slow and showed restraint but I couldn't keep up the charade. Soon I was inhaling them and gobbling them by handfuls!
The result will be what shows on the scale tomorrow....
And I was doing so well....
Darn those chips. Well.... at least I now know that I have a serious weakness to Hickory Sticks and I should avoid them at all costs.
Did I mention that I was munching them casually on the ride back home?
So much for my cleansing diet!
My dieting came to a dead stop after I injured my knee and there were holiday stress. I could focus on dieting to save my life. I can feel extra weight as I am having difficulty walking around. Some thing has to change. I am proud of myself for being willing to try again!
@Notgivingup: I'm VERY proud of you for willing to try again! Good for you!!! That is exactly the motivation you need to get you through this and to keep you going!
Do keep posting.... our group has really thinned down to three people. If you stay tuned and focused, you will be the fourth.
I believe that we need eachother and we need to keep eachother motivated. In our real world, we may not be around people who have the same desires as we all share as a group.
Don't worry... I'm in the same boat. I've gained back some pounds and my parties are not over yet! WE can all do it together.
