Dialysis Support Group
Dialysis is a type of renal replacement therapy which is used to provide an artificial replacement for lost kidney function due to renal failure. It is a life support treatment and does not treat any kidney diseases. Dialysis may be used for very sick patients who have suddenly lost their kidney function or for quite stable patients who have permanently lost their kidney...
when I shop myself I try to be very careful.I wish food companys would put " kidney friendly" on their meal packs or a red K sign,it would make life easier.meals out, again I try to pick a meal thats reasonably " safe"
but even the nursing staff say you can enjoy the odd treat!!
I drink very little the morning I am going out for a meal so that allows
the glass of wine etc.
I hope this helps,in my prayers too

There should be a nutritionist at the dialysis center who can print up some information about what things to order over others.
I hope this helps some.
