Dialysis Support Group
Dialysis is a type of renal replacement therapy which is used to provide an artificial replacement for lost kidney function due to renal failure. It is a life support treatment and does not treat any kidney diseases. Dialysis may be used for very sick patients who have suddenly lost their kidney function or for quite stable patients who have permanently lost their kidney...

I'm afraid I don't have any answers to your questions, just wanted to say I understand how frustrating it can be. Does your husband see a therapist at all or would he consider it? I wonder if there's more going on than just the treatments...he's probably feeling a lot of anger and frustration about his transplant failing after just a few years so maybe venting some of that to someone other than you might help him. I know first-hand that that's a difficult subject to broach though so I would definitely not bring it up when he's already in a bad mood!
Best wishes to you!
