Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. I once heard a young child tell his mother had btes and she could not eat what she was picking up and he was telling daddy !. Naturally I had to say something since the mother looked so upset at this child (good think I look like an ole lady and can get away with this) I asked him if he had his food police badge since he was not allowed without it, and then explained to the mother about the food labels, etc (and yes she could have the item she picked up as long as she didn't eat the whole box) and she was only 20 years old with a very bossy 4 year old and didn't need more stress.
The thing is, sometimes the clueless still miss anything more subtle than an admonishment to stfu.
I swear I will try to do better in the future!
