Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
I LOVE my Wii fit!! There is so much you can do with it. I know I will rely heavily on it this winter when it is too cold to go outside for a walk or if it is a blizzard. The hula hooping is a major work out and I play the game where you are a bird and you flap your arms to fly to different targets. It is a good upper arm workout. I am hoping it will tone my arms while I am losing weight. I highly recommend it.
I love the hoola Hoop idea I never could do that!!!I use a big rubber band stretchy thing to do some exercises in bed on standing. My daughter gave it too me.
Grannie your doing just great. At least your trying which is all we can do.
The Wii is fun in general. I love the bowling, but it is not really exercise. Tennis and ping pong are my favorites and I think are good for your arms but that is about it. I use the Wii fit weekly to check my weight and BMI. I know it is accurate because I get weighed by my doctors office almost weekly.
Anyone who buys it needs to buy the Wi Fit Plus. The plus has so many different FUN things to do. Plus it keeps track of how many calories burned and how long you were on it.
My husband also has very wide feet and a high instep, so he has to get special shoes. He also has problems with a callous that develops on the bottom of his foot.(He has a foot doctor shave it off periodically. He broke his ankle years ago and it didn't heal properly. so he doesn't walk properly on that foot.
He used to buy the New Balance shoes, but now he gets the SASS shoes. They are very expensive but it's the only kind that helps. We live in Canada, but I believe the shoes come from the states, if that's where you live.
I was told my feet are a 7 - 3E, but all I see is 4E's. I was told I would have to order them online. I sure would prefer to try them on first to make sure they are comfortable, especially when there are so many styles to choose from.
Thanks!
I heard that Crocs aren't good for walking in all of the time. They can ruin your feet too.
Good luck!
I have to agree that SAS are the best walking shoes. They are made in San Antonio Texas, that is why they are called SAS (San Antonio Shoes) The best style for walking are the Freetime. I have seen them on Ebay for a lot less. They come in every size. I am very fortunate because we have SAS outlet stores here, since I live in Texas. I can get them for about $100.00 new. They last a long long time.
I have seen new shoes sold by shoe stores on Ebay. They post the sizes. However, you are correct, they don't have all sizes on Ebay.
