I wear glasses and this happen to me so I went to the eye doctor he said my eyes were getting better and my glasses were too strong. Gave me a new pair of glasses. But I don't know how long it will be til it happens again and glasses at 450 dollars a pop will get expensive. I hope the new ones help.

I did a year after I was DX I got cataracts that were removed and like Lindamack, I now were coke bottle glasses at $550 a pop...LOL

Go get your eyes checked by an opthamologist.

I takjed with the ask a nurse and the on call dr and they said maybe I should go to the er not just because of my vision but other things like heart rate and bp, shoulder pain, and a couple other things.
I really do not feel like going it is getting late and id have to ask my neighbor to drive me and being a holiday weekend and all the er is prob packed.
Just not sure what to do.

I just got new glasses not long ago at over 600, 2 pair.

The same sort of thing happened to me. I was diagnosed and started treatment. As my glucose started to get under control, my eyesight because worse and worse. Finally I went to my doctor and she sent me to an ophthalmologist. What I learned from his was glucose effects the fluids in the eyes. Having had undiagnosed diabetes for who knows how long my eyes became adjusted to the glucose in the eye fluids, so that was my 'normal' eyesight. Once my glucose levels came more in line to what they should be, because of the change in glucose in the eye fluids, I really could not see at all. My doctors, both my GP at the time, and my new Ophthalmologist reassured me this was not uncommon and in an odd way was a good sign that my glucose levels were not more 'normal'. I highly recommend you see your doctor about this though.

It must be getting adjusted to my sugar going down, I am going to go to the Dr Monday morning or as soon as I can get in. Today I am going to just be as lazy as I can be.

I too am having vision problems since getting my BS under control.
I'm hoping to get to the ophthalmologist this coming month. Like you....I don't have eye doctor insurance, so am working on putting the money aside. My mom goes to the eye doc for the exam and then takes her script to Walmart eye center and got some nice glasses for a fraction of the cost.....I'm gonna do the same :)

you need to have your eyes checked regularly now, usually the vision is worse when they are higher, get a good eye exam, they should dialate your eyes so they can check behind to make sure you have no damage, but do go
