Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

I too have problems with hypo. I hate having to eat every 2-3 hours or snack all the time....my car and purse looked like I was a vender.
I decided to add an extra fruit (i.e. 2 tangerines or a few grapes and one tangerine) for my lunch. It doesn't raise my sugar too high, but it holds it higher longer. I'm just experimenting and worked on this with my doctor.
I'm due for another A1C in January, so that will be a big factor on continuing to keep this regimen or find another solution.
Other than that I feel tip top.....doing well :)
I can't win, had to have steroid shots then went on Prednisone for a time and now the Gabapentin raises it a little I found that increasing my night(slow acting) insulin it helps my numbers. I get an A1C in January.
