Seeing the MD on Thursday...first time since being

put on Levimar Pen....I started at 15units and now am pretty good but it is moved to 63units now....I am not sure where she will head with this but right now she told me that things are looking good and keep doing what I am doing....I am sure other things will be discussed because I want my meds in 90day supplies and I need to get some more Norco...I have just 2pills of that left and my knee sometimes barks as well as shoulders and lower back...I am arthritic and torn rotator cuff also...

You have to be careful with insulin, you can go low very fast. I am on Lantus and Humalog. I take 5 at breakfast, 7 at lunch and 9 at dinner with Humalog and 10 with Lantus before bedtime. I have to be careful because I will go low fast. Carry some sugar with you at all times. I usually carry sugar cubes because those glucose tablets gave me an upset stomach. But I find that I can control my sugar level way better with insulin than pills. You will be fine. You just have to watch what you eat and how much you eat. But I think everyone should do the same. Diabetics are some of the healthiest eaters. We are forced to eat properly.

I am an almost out of control type 2 diabetic. I ve been fight it for 10 years now. I still need to learn that just one slip up can screw you for a few days. i'm trying but I love the bad foods. heres my question for you. how much do you pay for pens. or does your ins. cover it? my doctor found out if you took it in a shot and got vials of and they were completely covered. maybe I saved you some money. I hope so

I have insurance thru medicare and also now just got medicaid....
