I am on lantus (insulin pens) for a few months. Just recently dealing w/ nausea. Dr. says it might be food moving slowly. Anyone else experiencing this?

Digestion. Poor digestion (varying degrees of gastroparesis, which means that digestion is slowed).

I copied and pasted the above from my tons of information I've saved. What stage are you at? I'm at 3 (GFR 35) so yea, I get that. I've been trying to find others at same stage or stage 4.

I have nausea also but not on insulin pens yet. Just take the Glucovance oral tablets. never realized this could be from my diabetes, I feel it mainly at nite when I am at work. it passes, but i do notice it

Gene..I have been on Lantus SoloStar pen for years...never had a problem..What did the Doc say? Sounds like a tummy problem.

I have had no nausea problems with the Lantus pens. Also, I think that, if the Lantus were the problem, it would have surfaced early on, not after months. One of the beauties of insulin is the low occurence of side effects. I say talk to the doctor.

I have diabetes for years and been on Lantus the whole time.But I have had problem with this as well lately along with alot of stomach pain. I am not sure what it is due to. I thought maybe I have an ulcer of some kind or acid reflux disease. My doctor told me that could be it or that just maybe i wasn't not digesting food my food right and that it happens alot with people who are diabetic.

Since I posted the memo on nausea w/ diabetes, it has subsided. Also my sugars have improved to the 90-120/30 range. I think the nausea was a nervous reaction. I'm using a TINY syringe. I hope we all stay better.
