Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Not to infer you are old dear, but I am...LOL
Thanks again-Dale
About your metformin. I hope you have the kind that does not stink. When you open the bottle do you smell anything?
You bs numbers are great. You don't want to get any lower than that.
Wrinkly skin is sometimes dehydration, so make sure you take in plenty of fluids.
Slow healing is part of diabetes. You don't say here what your A1c is, but things can improve as you continue to keep it under 7.
Do you have other conditions besides the diabetes that could cause some of these things?
I take Xarelto as a blood thinner. Warfarin therapy did not work for me.
Yes, I have another condition-COPD for 11 years. I am on low dose O2 when walking, doing my 1 hour per day exercises and sleeping.
My 500mg Metformin has no odor or smell to it. Tastes terrible in my mouth. I just turned 65 and will have my first A1c in 3 weeks.
Thanks everyone-Dale BG this morning 107
I am aware of the COPD board. I checked it out
a few years ago and found nothing but a bunch
of cyber bullies running off all the newbies.
I am pretty well versed in COPD. Thanks again!
Best wishes: Dale
