Neuropathy and Cymbalta

I've been given an rx for Cymbalta for the neuropathy pain in my leg. I've done a little reading about it and it appears there may be some pretty severe side effects with this med. Does anyone have any direct experience with this?

my mother in law is on cymbalta. I don't know what it can do for pain in your leg because she takes it to mellow her out a bit. She's been on it for about 2 yrs and no side effects at all with her ..good luck on taking it for your leg pains

Yeah, I know that this is a "good-guy pill" but now I find that it is also prescribed for this type of nerve pain. I'm hoping to hear from someone actually taking it for the diabetic peripheral neuropathy. But its good to hear that you mil has not experienced negative effects. Thanks,

I have been taking Cymbalta for about a year now to help with my pain management and it seems to be helping. I have not experienced any side effect. I am also on neurontin to help with pain as well.

I take cymbalta for diabetic nueraphty. With out it I probally could not walk.

The main side effect I have is do to kidney failure I found out later.

I was increased to 90mg per day, I could not stay awake I was sleeping 24/7.

after finding out my kidney were failing and put on dialysis we found out the dosage was to high for those with KD.
I nw take 30 efery other day and 60 on the other days.

yup i take it for neuropathy & it stoppedhelping months ago & i told dr & he wants me to keep taking it. i do use it for help sleeping. Lyrica is better but it promotes weight gain. Dr has license plate that reads BRAIN 1 so arguing dont work niether i'd love to wean off it but dr is convinced GL
