this is called the dawn effect - we all deal with it - basically what is happening is the liver and pancreas had a party overnight, about 2 am or so and they didn't invite you ROFL..the liver dumps sugar and since the pancreas no longer functions well, it doesn't know how much insulin to release to process the sugars.
