I have been taking Metformin 1000 mg twice a day for 10 years and never had a problem. Didn't know there was a problem with it till I read it here. I take it without meals about 20 min to 1 hour before meals. It doesn't fill me up and didn't make me lose weight. To me, its like not taking anything at all.
