Hi Folks!

You may or may not know me, but I work here at DS. I'm very pleased to announce that mzizgayle has agreed to become a Community Leader for the Diabetes Type 2 support group. We're certain that she'll make a wonderful Community Leader!

Congratulations Gayle - they couldn't have picked a better one as you've been greeting new members and giving good, thoughtful advice to people for as long as I've been here. Sometimes even making us howl with laughter (raging moose indeed!) she types appreciatively.

YAY GAYLE!!!!!!! Manohman, what an excellent choice! Does that mean that you are going to ask me to install a throne, I think near the window with the spiderman curtains! It is gonna be a nice one, you know with lots of sparklys and stuff!

Ummmmm, do we get cake and ice cream for this? I will guard the cake okay?

Ummmmm Gayle, about the curtains, you see, spiderman came in and thought that we had a butterfly infestation, being the kind and giving kind of guy that he is, he made a butterfly net and caught them, but then the curtains looked too plain, so we put his picture on them instead!

I swear, that is what happened! If you don't believe that one, well I can tell you another that involves a dragon.....

Really, I think that you were a great choice! I know that you have a lot of folks backing you up here!

Hi my name is Sam and I've just joined the daily strength. I was diagnosed with diabeties in February this year after havinf gestational diabeties with my second pregnancy. I'm insulin dependant and really need a support group to turn to. I'm finding it hard in knowing what to eat and how much etc. I love my biscuits and chocolate and know I shouldn't have them anymore or at least not as many but its so hard to find alternatives - please help x
