So my family doesn't really have much money whatseoever. My mother is diabetic and has been taking novalog and lantus for as long as I can remember. My mom has no health insurance despite being very sick and recently started getting some social sercuity money. We have been getting lantus from Sanofi for years and years since we cannot afford it but now we are about $2,000 over the limit and they won't give us lantus anymore. What can we do? Taking my mom off of lantus is not an option. We asked her doctor for samples but she doesn't have any and just keeps saying to contact sanofi.

check the above to see if they have programs in your state. Plus if she is on social security, has she qualified yet for medicare? Diabetic supplies are free (test strips, just need a script from doctor. etc) With medicare you need a part D for meds and some can be affordable each month, and you can then get meds cheaper especially with their mail order.
