Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

almost half when I stopped taking it. pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis are two reasons I am glad I no longer take it. I'm amazed that they continue to sell drugs once they know they have
dangerous side effects. Well, not really amazed. They make billioins off it.
I discussed it with my doctor and was referred to a diabetic centre. Januvia was stopped immediately. I now take insulin twice a day (fairly small dosages). I have been taking insulin for 18 months and my health has improved considerably.
I have been diabetic for some 23 years now. I was widowed 3 month ago and even though my BS have been a bit erratic due to the stress and deep sorrow that ensued, the insulin has helped me to keep my BS under fairly good control.
If you are not happy with Januvia do discuss it with your medical team.
All the best
