I am seeing an endocrinologist because I have Graves Disease, a pituitary tumor and thyroid nodules. I also have Lupus, I am seeing a rheumy for that. I am on Prednisilone and pain meds.
I see my endo every 3 months and she orders labs. My glucose levels are always normal, normal fasting 80 to 90. 2 years ago she started ordering the A1c test, one time 5.8 then 6, lastest 5.9. I have been on a meter at home and fasting is higher than lab 90s to 106. After meals always below 120. One time it was 145 1/2 hours after meal.
She says I am prediabetic. wants me to see a foot doctor, I have no problems, no tingling, no pain. She also wants me to have my eyes checked for diabetes damage.
My BMI is normal, she calls me obese. My blood pressure is never over 120 for the upper number and the lower number is between 60s and 70s. She says my BP is high it should be below 120.
I googled this doc and I saw 47 complaints for rudeness and calling people fat.
Now here is my problem, I would have to travel 60 miles to see somebody else.
Should I just ignore her BS? Do I really have to worry about my glucose levels?
I am tired of poking my fingers, have done this now for 3 years with normal results.

You wanted feedback..so I would get a second opinion. Better to be safe than sorry.
I believe, if I were you, I would be looking for another doctor.
if your tests are as you say, it is time to get another doctor...are they going to remove your pituitary tumor, check out the nodules?
Having a regular eye exam is just common sense to do, but I don't see any indication you have diabetes and eye damage, blood pressure is fine...
but do find another doctor, do you have a regular doctor who can treat you for other things? I would tell the endo they can only treat you for the thyroid, which is what I have done with mine...they know my body, diabetes is off limits and if they have any questions contact my regular doctor lol
As far as the pituitary tumor, I was scheduled for surgery in 09, she said not to go through with it. She said nothing will work after surgery and I would have to be on 4 meds a day just to function.
My neuro surgeon is OK with watching it to see if it grown. Since 09 it grew just 1mm. Its 15 by 14 mm. I have to watch for signs of apoplexia and vision problems.
I do have one more question: My iron/ferritin is below normal. Does that affect A1c readings?

As always, i am thankful for this site and everyone's input. Learned more here than from any doctor. I don't understand WHY doctors dont' give patients brochures to read up about their illness??
