I'm a type 2 diabetic and I take insulin..40u of NPH and 22u or R for am dose..night is 26u and 22u..I forgot to take my insulin this morning, ate so now my sugar was high at 200 at lunch time so i took my am dose..now I'm worried that it might drop in my sleep since i took it late..what should I do ?

I always have a protein snack before bedtime (graham cracker and peanut butter) just in case mine drops. I also take Insulin. It is better to be high than low dear.

Hi there,

I wish I had other advice but I take Lantus which is a slow acting insulin. I have no idea how your type of insulin reacts with you but maybe you should contact your doctor or your diabetic education centre.
