I do eat ice cream on rare occasions and it's low carb and sugar free. As for white rice...never. If I need rice I'll have brown rice. Different texture and taste, but can be seasoned so that it's tasty. And I've discovered that even with brown rice my numbers go higher than I like for them to be.

I do, IMO, FWIW(for what its worth), eat too much IC.

I eat ice cream once in a while, you can find some good ones (no not Jerry Garcia's lol) that have carbs about 19 for a serving.

We also have an ice cream shop that serves some great soft serves and they have an extra small size.

I do eat ice cream bars. No sugar added Blue Bell. Their Moo Bars have 9 carbs. I don't eat them every day. Just as a treat. Rice, no. Didn't eat it much before though.

Yes. Every day. :) My Fasting Sugar went from 186 to 133. :) I use Edy's Grand, Slow Churned Ice Cream. It doesn't bother me a bit. :) I make sure to stick to the 1/2 cup serving suggestion though.

I buy Edy's light slow churned ice cream. I am on Weight Watchers and Ibuy flavors that are beteen 100 and 120 calories per serving. I eat 1/2 of a serving, 1/4 cup, i don't buy much in the line of sugar free foods as most of the time they have more carbs than the regular kind. A case in point: I bought some SUGAR FREE twizzlers. I forgot to read the label and couldn't figure out why my numbers woudl jump way up when I ate some. Come to find out the firs ingredient was CORN SYRUP. To me that's pure sugar. I don't know how htey get away with it, but I pln to find out.

Blue Bunny reduced fat and no sugar added. Yumm. I am able to find it at WalMart.

Also, I have heard Whole Foods has ice cream for diabetics, but have not tried it.

The Weight Watcher's and Skinny Cow are good too. I just stick to the right amounts, per the carb. content.
