i have been asked by my doc to participate in an experimental diabetes study .
apart from my 2 daily doses of metformin 500 mg each i also will take the drug in my subject matter .
i am not sure if i should participate , i already take enough meds for my blood pressure and A- FIB . i am not that inclined to take two more pills.
i am just woundering has any one here be part of that study AND HAVE TAKEN THE DRUG AND WHAT IS THIER OPINIONS.

I think that you should participate. These studies are important and I think that your doctor asking you shows that he has a level of confidence in you. I haven't participated in studies like this but I have already signed a paper that if they need someone to test something new on, then I am willing to do it. I truly believe that at one point, one of these studies will yield some results that are important to us and maybe even come up with a way to help a lot of people.
