I went back to work this week for 4 hours a day (recovering from pulmonary embolism) and it seems my blood sugars are doing better. I am still writing everything that goes in my mouth and trying to juggle carbs and low sodium. But I find if I am at work, there is no mindless eating. And that seems to help. I am taking a snack to work and that also seems to help. I guess this all takes time. And basically, I am eating good, healthy food. Better than I have eaten in years. And I'm cooking again...and that's good for me too. My doctor wonders if when I'm off the prednisone if the numbers will come back to normal. Even if they do, I intend to continue the way I have been. I do wonder how it will be once I can exercise again. Right now my doctors are not allowing me to do a lot as my heart begins to race due to the clots.

You're taking the right steps. That's all you can do, right? Small steps in the right direction are better than any steps another way. :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
