Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
I'm not sure what you are worrying about? To me your numbers don't sound super high. But really everyone is different. For instance, for me? Anything much below 120 (fasting or anytime) is too low for me and I crash into low blood sugar symptoms.
The other thing is this: sometimes no matter what we do? Our blood sugar may be higher than we think it should be. I hope someone else has some better/more advice to give!!
Good luck and try to not worry too much!!

the body gets use to high numbers and will think coming into normal ranges might be too low, it takes time and hard work to get your numbers into normal ranges so 120 doesn't feel like a low to you
Eating a small protein plus carb bedtime snack might help. I sometimes eat a graham cracker with no sugar added, Laura Scudder's peanut butter on it.
there are two ways your body handles sugar, in the day time it's your pancreas, and at night it's your liver. One important thing is to get a good night's sleep. Do you sleep well?
It's true that for people who are used to having very high levels that 125 might trigger feelings of low sugar, but if you keep your sugar below 150 all the time then that will normalize so that your body will let it go down to 100 and still feel normal.
Diabetes tends to be a progressive disease so that over time the levels may average higher, so that it was okay to snack on sugary foods before, but later on not so much.
My suggetion is to try to sleep better at night, and if you do wake up, to drink water.
It will go to about 100.
As some have said, around 120 is ok. I'm sort of perfectionist though, and like mine in the 80s or 90s, so I understand the concern.

Normal blood pressure level used to be 120/80. Well, that too has been changed to 110/70.
so basically watch it so it doesn't keep going higher than your morning fasting average is.
