I am dealing with the same issues. I know it always helps when I have something healthy nearby. Lately I have been drinking hot lemon water, and trying to get a 15 gram carb snack with a serving of protein, in between meals to help with the cravings. Munching on almonds help.

One thing that the clinic told me was to stop obsessing about carbs. I use a 1/2 cup measuring cup to portion my carbs. 1/2 cup equals to 15 carbs. You can eat all the protein and greens you want, keep the carbs under 45 gr. per meal. I eat everything. Do not stop eating things that you ate before. You will go on an eating binge. I love dark chocolate and I will have a couple of pieces once in a while. The carb content is pretty low too. Just to satisfy that urge. Dark chocolate is good for you, too. Remember to relax and stay calm, stress will shoot those pesky numbers up.

I was a law clerk for a certain government agency for two years while in law school and was looking forward to a great...
