Well, apparently that is not the correct approach to Type II. But, the compromise position is not to take Met if I intend to have a glass of wine with dinner. It has been only on special occasions over the last 8 months. But I have noticed that wine, absent food, does lower my blood sugar. The bottle was opened while I was still cooking and after a glass I checked the meter and found a 70. I skipped the Met at dinner for fear of going lower.
Now is no separate sugar, but the sweetener used in Hazelnut flavored "creamer" or preme...
It takes some time to become used to "no sugar"; IMO, the coffee tastes better than ever, just using 2 teaspoons of preme in a large cup and some Half & Half...
IMO, wine in moderation, is good.
Stress is not so good.
