Hello, I am new to this group. I have also suffered with painful lumps in legs, thighs, stomach, hips and arms for a long while. My mother passed away in 2000 she had been sick for awhile, but she would complain about pain all over her body, just everywhere. She was developing large lumps in ther thighs and arms. Some of them were about 4 to 5 inches long. Some were soft and others were more firm. She complained of pain for so long and still never ask the doctor to check those places out. She just thought they were cysts and that was it... Several years ago after my mother passed away, I noticed that I was developing the same kind of lumps everywhere and have had so much pain. I am seening a pain specialist and on 3 different kinds of pain meds. I think my mother suffered with Dercum's and it is inherited... I have read your posts and am wondering if this is the same thing that I have. It sure sounds like it. The doctors in this area are really not to good. I am seeing a endocrinologist, I am wondering if this doctor would be able to diagnose this disease? If you have any information please help.
