I've never heard of Zopiclone, and I've been on almost every anti depressant. Is that a generic name or brand name? If it's the generic name, what is the brand name?

Zopiclone is not an anti depressant it is a sleeping pill. It should not be used long term at all. However, saying that I have been on this drug for 4 years now. I cannot sleep without it now. I originally was given it to help me through a very low point in my life. I was suppose to use it for one week only but it seemed easier for the doctors to keep on giving it to me than to address the issues at the time.

I think you should speak to your doctor and ask why you have been given this medication. If you are sleeping ok at home then there should be no need to take it. It is very addictive so try an avoid if you can.

Have to agree with what Maisie said. I use it when I can't sleep, which is often, but sometimes find half a pill will work fine. Shouldn't be used long term though, have a word with your doctor is you are concerned. Hope you are now feeling better.

Zopiclone works well as a sleeping aid but i found it to be very addictive and was using it long term which is not recommended but it was hard to use just now and then

I was given this a long time ago when I was sectioned. It didn't help me sleep at all. I found I just spent the nights laying awake but feeling a bit spaced out.
