Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Anywho...Try to make a ritual or a routine in taking it every day at the same time, with lunch or dinner or before bed? That might help. I'm a little OCD and I write lists like crazy. Maybe leaving a note on the fridge might help?
Good luck.

Seratonin is not the only neurochemical. There are many others. MOST chronic depressives have a Seratonin problem. Wellbutrin, for example, is for people with Dopamine problems. There are many on both Zoloft and Wellbutrin ... for life.
I have missed a doze several times with no real problems.
It is better to make sure you do not forget to take any anti-depressant as it takes them time to build up in your system.
I have had good luck with them after trying many others this one seams to really help me.
Take care
I am so glad that I did research only two days into taking zoloft. I read accounts of people having severe withdrawals after only three weeks. This is so important for all of us to remember.. never, never blindly take ANY medication from a doctor.. always do your research & always be personally responsible for what you put in your body.
All I\'m saying is that this is my first experience with these sorts of meds, and I have so many medical issues already, it scares me to read the side effects etc. & wonder what it would do to my body.
I do need to disagree with you about researching the doctor\'s advice before complying with that advice.
The reason I disagree is the average person is not qualified to research the doctor\'s advice. Pharmaceutical research is WAY beyond the layman\'s ability to do EFFECTIVELY.
The layman is much better off taking their doctor\'s advice than they are qualified to do medical/pharmaceutical research and base their decision on biased, limited, incomplete, unscientific, and INformal \'research\'.
But, indeed, you do what makes you the most comfortable.
I mean, I feel a little off when I don\'t take it but besides that it\'s nothing DRASTIC. Just feel a little...off, like I\'m missing something.
Funny thing though, when I started my Vyvanse, I pulled myself off Cold Turkey from the Zoloft. I HATED the interaction and felt amazing without it. Right now I\'m back on it for 100 mg.
My doctor told me that there is absolutely no addiction issues with Zoloft and that is clearly not the case. If I had not looked into it, I would have believed him and possibly been in big trouble down the road when I wanted to come off the medication.
I am also experiencing some really scary withdrawal symptoms from the ativan which I was not told about before I took the meds.. If I had known I was going to feel this way, I don\'t think I would have taken them in the first place.
Anyway, I do not mean to sound confrontational so I hope you do not take what I\'m saying as negative towards you.. I just believe very strongly that blind faith in doctors is a very scary thing.
Blond, did your symptoms stop altogether after two weeks?
Has anyone had this feeling of \'unreality\' from taking meds or stopping meds? It is absolutely driving me crazy and nobody that I know has any idea what I am talking about.. like I\'m a nutter or something. I just all of a sudden feel so spacey, out there, unreal, dizzy, can\'t focus.. Unreality really is the best way to describe it. Thank God it is listed as a withdrawal symptom otherwise I would be nervous that I was losing it.
Depersonalization & Derealization.. I think I am experiencing the latter. Very scary.
