Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
'There is one particular, very unpleasant withdrawal symptom called REM Behavior Disorder. When moving your eyes too quickly, you dream in sequences- you are awake but you have hallucinations like you are actually dreaming. If something like this happens contact your physician'
Trust your doc. These meds take upto 6 weeks to come to full force...2 days wont mean nothing to your body.
Any medication CAN have a bad effect on SOME people. You are probably reading about an entire group of people who had a bad experience with Zoloft .. it is called skewing. The percentage of such people is tiny.

Just a message board with people posting about their experiences.
Here is my statement ... people who are chronically depressed are often so because of a seratonin problem. Zoloft (among other meds) correct the problem. They most likely need such a medication for life. If they quit their SSRI medication, ESPECIALLY SUDDENLY, they are going to have a bad experience.
Anyway, I'm just nervous about taking it now, that's all. I looked into the side effects/withdrawal symptoms for paxil, valium, etc. too and none of them are good. I do not want to be dependent for life & the possibility of experiencing those withdrawal symptoms is very scary to me.
However, I am experiencing high anxiety & depression, so.. I guess I have a lot of thinking to do. I hope, hope, hope that two days on the Zoloft & quitting cold turkey will not cause any weird crud.
