Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
As far as being tired...I think that affect stayed the whole time taking Zoloft. It made me be content to lay in bed half the day. I didnt have motivation to do anything. i was never that happy, nor depressed while taking zoloft.
Word of caution: when you decide to stop taking Zoloft, go VERY SLOWLY. You need to, VERY GRADUALLY, reduce zoloft you eliminate it. I mean, it should take at least a month to gradually reduce your dosage.
As for depression and anxiety, I didn't get relief until I got on
Cymbalta. Everyone reacts differently to the same drug. We gotta discover what works for each of us. Good luck.
My side effects started within hours. I noticed that I was really mellow all day. I was extremely tired all day and felt like I could fall asleep any minute. Last night I got no sleep. I've had depression for 24 years without a diagnosis or meds. Even the nights when I sleep like crap I get a few hours of sleep. None last night.
Every time I stood up I got dizzy as hell, blacked out, started shaking like mad and fell down a few times without me realizing what was happening for a while. I even kicked my dog once accidentaly once cuz I couldnt see a thing and I almost fell down the stairs in a different ocassion.
So please be very careful when switching and combining pills and meds in general.
Stay strong ;)
