Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It's hard for friends and family to understand depression, especially when they haven't experienced it themselves. They will often say insensitive things like, "Snap out of it" simply because they just don't get it. Groups like this are great for empathy and support. We've all been where you are and we're all at various stages of recovery.
At some point, you'll be ready to start feeling better, and it won't hurt to smile at all.
Wishing you peace :)
Also smiling sends a signal to your brain that all is well and actually boosts endorphins that make you feel better.
I do try to be friendly to people. If they smile I smile back it just doesn’t feel like how I feel on the inside. I have been in therapy for 11 years and it has helped me so much. This website helps too. I just feel like I don’t know if I’ll ever be who I was before or if I just create a new version of me. I just feel really heartbroken, depressed, sad and like a constant state of devastation. I do want to get better.
