I swear I am never ever going to get out of this shithole. My husband keeps swearing up and down that he is doing everything he can to get me out of there, but then it's possible that I may need surgery again and I could use the money. He is also afraid that we fall behind financially and is delaying me quitting out of fear. I feel selfish, but words can not describe how fed up I am with this damned place. I have zero time to myself to work on art, the family tree, and just RELAX. Apart from being in pain all the time, I suffer from fatique that just makes me feel like I am going to pass out at times and I need to rest. I am working long hours (normally 7 hours a day, sometimes up to 10), and enough is enough. Within the span of three weeks, I ran into three heroin addicts either at work or on my way to work. Not only am I afraid of walking to work where I am at least confronted by one panhandler a day, but many of my customers are sketchy. Ever took a sandwich order from a large guy pacing back and forth with a mad look in his eyes while trying to understand what the heck he is even trying to order as he makes no sense as he is high on crack? My life story. Combind that with the fact that I have zero free time to visit my family and my boss is an asshole who has never given out a raise to a single person in over 4 years and who lied through his teeth about the change in the insurance plan and you can see why this place pisses me off. Not to mention that the entire market is falling apart and in need of repairs, so there goes any hope of ever getting a raise or bonus. Three weeks ago, he bought all new refrigeration for the meat department...USED! It broke in just a couple of days and took the idiot two weeks and five repair visits to fix. All this while he continuously goes out of state to visit family in either his BMW or Jaguiar which he LOVES to brag about while everyone else is forced to work a second job just to pay bills.
What kind of surgery do you need? Does your husband have insurance at his job? Can you delay the surgery until you find a better job?

P.S. I know exactly what it is like to be confronted by drug addicts. They are all over my neighborhood. Just say no to their demands for money! Keep walking away from them. You CAN get through this.
As for the insurance. I just got off the phone with good ol Aetna again where I asked for a pamphlet to be mailed to me explaining my benefits. I was told by the representative that one could only be provided to me by my employer. I then asked her what if my employer will not give me one after I have asked? She then just repeated, it can only be provided by your employer.
The thing that annoys me is that nobody seems to give a rats ass about this except for myself. Then again, I use my insurance frequently so I guess it is of more importance to me. Hubby doesn't want me to cause a rukus as he swears he is getting me out of this dump soon (although it seems like he is trying to get me to stay longer to make certain that his job remains stable and we have everything taken care of first), but i'm ready to call the union and would LOOOOOOOVE to see this douchebag in court. I'm sure paying for an insurance plan you have no information on is against the law (who knows. Maybe Obama screwed that up for us), but I don't particuarly enjoy being lied to and taken advantage of. In fact, this entire job has done nothing but taken advantage of me which is probably why I am so pissed.
