Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

The death of our loved one in such a sudden, tragic way is often difficult to cope with. Our grief can overwhelm us. Obviously, this was a person very important to you and it just takes time to work through the grief stage. I know everyone says that. Right now allow yourself to feel how you feel, cry, talk out loud to her and say goodbye out loud. Maybe even write a letter to her pen to paper saying how important she was to you and how you are going to miss her. Later on, if you need to, join something like a "grief share" group to gain more coping skills.
I talk to those I liked, loved, or knew, who have now died. I talk in my head or out loud if I am alone. I believe we have souls and those souls can hear us talk to them. I also believe our deceased loved ones can come to us in dreams.
I had a dear friend die a few months ago. Everyone liked this woman and she was a huge important person in my life. I think I was pretty important to her in the last few years also. I grieve for her and had a huge pity party, poor me loosing her. Then her soul came to me in a dream and talked to me about coping and moving forward in my life. She was her normal old self giving me practical advice. Because I had talked to her in my mind saying how will I make new friends (my pity party). She reminded me in this dream that life goes like this, up and down and I will overcome this time of grief and lack of friends. Anyway, I felt comforted and she is right - just keep going day to day and I will find new activities and friends.
I'm hugging you
May she rest in peace...xo
I think I need to try the grief share group. ..that’s a good way for you to make friends as well with people who understand. I hope you’ve made friends and it’s easier for you today than yesterday.
Billwfriend, thank you as well. I am very much in shock. I don’t want to believe it sometimes.
Oldbiker, I pray for you as well as a father should never have to bury their child. Thank you for keeping me in your prayer and I pray you continue to have the strength that keeps you going today. I’m sorry you lost him at 37 and so young. My cousin was to turn 31 in a few months. They were both young… again I’m sorry for your loss.
Everyone, thank you for being there for me even when struggling yourselves. It means a lot.
