Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I do get so tired of it don't you!?!
in a situation and have to put up with it ! My daughter and I became
homeless after her Father died, because the only home we knew
at the time was that one! For over 3 years now, we have been
living between my parents and friends!
My expectations of other people depend on so many things but if it's a person that I am laying my heart out to I may be put off by a thing or two, even that would depend on if the person has things they're dealing with.. in other words I've learned I can put up with almost anything.
Mostly removing yourself from those who grate on you will help immensely, the rest you have to weigh your expectations.
It takes me quite a bit longer now to warm up to others, but it's simply not in my nature to dismiss everyone I come in contact with.
I'm learning to trust my instincts.
You should not trust a person if they have been proven to lie to you.
A person has to earn your trust.
This is an issue that I too am working on.
~Peace to you~
As far as trust, I have learned to lower my expectations of others and myself. I also believe in the saying, "you teach people how to treat you". I guess if people are running over us or lying it is because for some reason we allow it. I strongly put myself in this bunch.
