Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
This place is a good way to do that, you can be anonymous and say whatever it is you are feeling and we are here to listen and support you, with no judgement just open ears. I know its only talking but it does help.
I am going though a very similar situation and am feeling pretty shit myself and too have no one to talk to. Im not coping very well but i find that when i'm working or busy doing other things, anything, just keeping my mind active on other stuff it helps for that time, but as soon as the weekend comes around or i have complete alone time it comes sweeping back.
We are here to listen so vent away. Also maybe try and do things to distract yourself as much as possible, work, take up a hobbies, maybe the gym, boxing so you can get some of your frustration out, the gym also bring out endorphins which is good mentally and will help somewhat, or just trying to be around other people even if you don't know them.
Im here if you need to vent as i feel your pain and can relate. Im not going to say its going to get easier as i myself don't know if it will and i don't know your situation and don't want to diminish what your feeling and it kinda doesn't help hearing something like that when your just feel like dog right now.
vent as much as you like we are all here to listen not judge x
I wish I had more magic words. The standard things sort of jump out: take some time for you, and then make sure that you expose yourself to people. Get out, talk to people even if just to say hello to a stranger.
Gentle hugs
Good luck :)
My heart goes out to you as you grieve the loss of a relationship.
While so many are misinformed that men don't hurt as much as women I am convinced that men hurt just the same as women but have different ways of showing it.
While relationships aren't my expertise it's the pain in the breakup that I can relate.
And as everything within you wants the one thing you can't have nothing else seems to matter and life suddenly becomes unimportant.
As you try to make sense of it all wondering what went wrong while holding on to the memories you refuse to accept the reality.
And as no one can bring you any comfort during your greving process know that just like anything this is a "Process" we must all go through.
While it is certainly not an easy process but a rather painful one although you can not see it now there is a purpose behind the sorrow!
Imagine us as a piece of gold. And as all gold must go through the refining or purification process it is melted in the hottest temperatures, reformed as it's tossed and turned, buffed and shined before it finally presents itself in all of its glory.
And although the process was a rough one never once did the gold break but became stronger in the end and so will you!
Hope this helps...
