A stranger recently made a comment about idle hands and it totally triggered me!
I totally forgotten who I was! When I don't have structure I am very unhinged! I overeat, over shop, extreme gambling (I lost $20,000 in one night back in 2020). I'm an extreme/manic person that can majorly self destroy. Yes, I could get a part time job. Yes, I could get a remote job. Heck, I could totally quit my job, sell my things and live off my 401k for minute. BUT, I NEED STRUCTURE!
So, the next time you hear me whining how my friends and family are retiring early...or whining that I hate my office life - please remind me this 9 to 5 life is a choice I made to keep me from idle hands!!!!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
Consider how well you know yourself. This is not a bad thing to need structure or purpose. This is how the human brain thinks or what our minds, bodies, souls need.
I had to retire early for health reasons and I had purpose for a few years. Things blew apart on my volunteer things and friends leaving this world last year. Now I flounder on some days and it drives me crazy.
