I am just so down and anxious today because it feels like I have so much to deal with even though I know logically it's not the end of the world.
I have to be interviewed and provide proof of our bills so we can get food stamps. I am very anxious over this because my mom will have to ask her friend to drive us to the wellfare office because I don't drive at all and my mom drives very little due to anxiety. I feel incredibly guilty and horrible that we have been relying on this woman to drive us to places when we should be doing it ourselves.
We have an adjustor coming to look at the damage suffered from the hurricane. Then we have to hire someone to fix it. I am so anxious because I worry the insurance company won't give us enough money to fix it. We have no way of paying for it on our own.
Then I have my first therapy appointment next week.
I know it's not really a lot, but it feels like too much. I have been so anxious that I vomited and feel horrible.

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

I don't know. That seems like an awful lot to me and I would feel a lot of anxiety too. It seems like these problems come at us in waves. Stress doesn't seem to care if you have one thing on your plate or many. All we can do is try and face things one step at a time. My therapist had me try this, so maybe it can help.
Break down each thing happening and write them down. For each of them, write what your fear/worry is. For example- you feel guilty because someone else is driving you down to the office. Now, turn that fear/worry around. Write what the BEST case scenario is. (That person driving is happy to help her friends, for example) Now, think of what can be done to help that GOOD scenario come through. Maybe its something simple like giving that person a card saying thanks or a $5 gift card to a coffee place- somethingeasy and simple. Do it for the entire process. Instead of dwelling on the bad outcomes, flip them and see what the best ones are. When you see those good outcomes, do what steps need to be taken to ensure those happen as best they can. For example- rather than being worried about providing proof of your bills, make a list of those bills and gather them all in one big envelope. Write down totals on a separate sheet of paper. Now you have taken control of the situation and can confidently give them all your paperwork knowing you included everything.
Its hard to do at first. I still have a hard time with doing it. But I have also seen that so many of my fears were turned into posistives because I knew what the final goal I wanted was going to be.
Good luck. You CAN handle this. I believe it, and so can you.
Thank you so much Prospero. That is wonderful advice. I am going to do that because it sounds very helpful.
I have had the worst year even. I had a car accident, spine surgery, my husband left, took all the money, today a sheriff came to my home and gave me forclosure papers on my home, my doctor called to tell me I have a form of cancer...
But life goes on...tomorrow is another chance to get it right or fix wthatever is wrong. You will accept help and someday when your able, you will pay it forward to this lady or someone else in need.
Just do what needs to be done today and stop thinking about tomorrow...you aren't promised tomorrow.
I try to treat everyday like it's my last, never say anything you will regret because they might be your las wordst. Never waste time because it's fleating.
Be strong because sometimrs strength is all you have.
Good luck

Yard by yard is very hard, but inch by inch is a cinch.
As for you feeling guilty about having people drive you place...well, do something for the people who help you. If possible, pay for the gas. If that's not possible, be sure to help the people...help them around their house, make a meal for them, babysit or dog-sit. And also write them a nice thank you note. Many people love to get thank you messages.
Hang in there. You can do these things one at a time. Keep posting here, we care.
