Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Even though I may not agree with the "sacrificial lamb" theory, the fact is, Jesus Christ had a lot of good words to say. He makes a lot of sense. He taught love, compassion and kindness, how we should treat each other, and those are good things. That's, at heart, what, I think, all religions are about.
When religion becomes about POWER, holding POWER over others, it distorts religion's true purpose, and is a bad thing. Creationism vs. evolution, I don't care...
I joined a group once, they used quotes from books concerning the non existence of God, but when I used the Bible was told I couldn't. Fine, I don't have to be part of that group. If you are going to debate a topic, make it fair on all sides. They welcomed Christians but then blew them out of the water for their faith. Not my cup of tea. I wan't argue with you. I believe the way I do and you have the right to believe in whatever you want. Just believe in something.
DON'T like 'posts' about religion, or politics...
Don't like it when religion is 'poked'in my face - door knockers for want of a better term.
I feel / believe if I want to FIND religion, I will seek it....
I consider myself to be a GOOD person! I have NEVER even had so much as a parking fine...
I am a lapsed Catholic....
I however believe that if I have NOT harmed, stayed 'good' etc etc etc It doesn't matter if I have continued on with an 'organised' religion, or NOT...
I have been 'good'!!!!!!!!!!!
So many religions in the world, all of them serving the same purpose from the beginning of time
It's OK to say "Religion is the answer for me", but you can't just say "Religion is the answer, because I believe and I say so.".
