Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Could you ask your husband to take a day off work or arrange a family day out at the weekend so that you can all spend some time together. When things at work get busy it does make things difficult and does make depression worse when you feel that you are the last consideration but I'm sure that your husband doesn't mean to make you feel like this
If he can't take time off could you take your kids out? Getting out and doing something different might help

Some people just make me second guess everything I do. I don't know if it's just because women are so tough on each other or what, but I am constantly seeing things that other parents do and realizing that I am not a good mom in even the slightest sense of the word. I know what I do wrong, I just don't know how to change it. Same with my marriage. I know we're doing it wrong, I just don't know how to change it. I don't know how to be different than I am. Other people learn and grow and I have been stuck in this same damn place for YEARS. Apparently, I will never learn.
but first things first...
most people fail at most things they do, mostly. if it werent for failing, we wouldnt know when we've succeeded. seriously, how fun could life be if you never failed at anything? its the rare successes in life that make it worth living... and it only does that if we remember to notice those successes.
you have 2 happy and healthy children that youve kept clothed and fed and educated for, well, i dont know how long... but thats something ive never been able to accomplish... even a little bit.
i dont know how you feel that youre failing as a mother, but if it has anything to do with buying designer clothes and a stack of I-crap for your kids... id say dont worry about it. look at how your grandmother was raised... if youre doing the things that were done for her, youre doing a GOOD job. if youre not, then that is where you should be looking to find out what 'good parenting' is... not the "parents" of today.
do your kids throw fits in the middle of shopping centers? do police have to pepper spray them at school? are they drug addicts and theives before they turn 10? if not, id say youre doing a GREAT job.
and speaking of grandmothers, heres a peice of advice she gave me... you may want to read this line to your husband....
she said...
everyone grows a little every day. if you want to have a life long partner, you have to work HAR to make SURE that youre both growing in the same direction... because if youre not growing together, you'll be growing apart.
i hope something in here has been helpful
