Here's a goal for you...this weekend don't plan on doing anything but making yourself some yummy dinner with desert and watching all your favorite movies or tv shows. Rent them this week or use Netflix. You obviously need some downtime. This is an order lol
But on the weekends, you don't have to fake the funk. You don't have to go anywhere or do anything and the reality of what you try so hard to overcome all week just sits on top of you and weighs you down, beats you up, calls you names. And you've worked so hard all week staying on top of it, getting things done, being "on" that you don't have the energy to do anything about it.
So on the weekends, you're vulnerable and depression - the mean beastie - takes advantage. And all you can do to manage it is go to sleep.
Or at least that's what happens to me...I think.
