Johnnyboy I think you might have taken something the wrong way. In New Zealand 'you' means 'one'. eg what I was saying is 'it would be (hypothetically speaking) two-faced to want the love and hugs to the face and murder stab death behind the back.'

the corruption of the clintons is a thing. People didn't vote in Trump. They voted out Clinton. Five million americans who would usually vote democrat didn't show up, because even they knew she was bad news.

I've living in Pennsylvania for 50 years and the simmering racism under the surface is sickening. Comes out when people have camp fires and drink into the night. As the sober designated driver for my ex for over 20 years...I heard people admitting to being in the KKK, to tearing up employment applications for anyone of color or different, etc, etc.

When I was a kid growing up, there was a show called Hogan's Heros, where a group of POWs made a joke of a Nati wall. If it got built it would turn into a 10 billion dollar joke. Life imitating art?

Heck, didn't that Mexican drug lord tunnel out of the prison we were trying to keep him in? And that's a short little well guarded prison wall.

That said, it's cheaper and more humane than starting a war with a country that's never attacked us. As maybe I should be thankful.
