Today was shaping up to be a good day. Got up early accomplished a bunch of things. Came home had some food and bam the phone rings and more bad news. Like what the hell cant I get one day of peace. Now it’s like the past 14 hours don’t matter at all. All I can think about is the 30second phone call. I don’t ask for a lot. I don’t even care if I’m happy. I just don’t want to be miserable anymore.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
by your account you had a good day, you got a lot of things done, in your good day you had to deal with a phone call that wasn't good news, okay, this is life and life is a journey that isn't always easy. most of your day was good and a little piece wasn't good news that you had to process.....you still had a good day and got a lot of things accomplished.
life is always going to be there, its always going to be a journey, some days good, some days harder than others and some days will be a mix of both. you get to decide what your outlook will be. you get to choose whether you highlight the good, or focus on the negative.
dealing with depression tends to put you in a "negative weary" mode....you start to assume that everything will be negative and nothing is ever good. So its up to you to flip it. you can choose to change your outlook and focus on the good, put it in the forefront and accept the small piece of negative you had to process, but leave it in the background of your otherwise good day.
take care,
