Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Me ex husband asked for a divorce two days after I delivered our second child. I was taken by complete surprise. He decided he was in love with another woman. He had sex with his girlfriend in my house with me and our two kids above him. I kicked him out and went to file divorce. He attempted sucide all because his girlfriend was thinking of leaving him. He now lives with his girlfriend, his girlfriends husband and their three kids. He hasn’t contacted me since March, hasn’t seen his kids since December. I apparently depress him too much for him to see his kids. I don’t know why him choosing to not be in his kids lives hurts me so much. I just want to forget about him but I have the kids. I feel like something is wrong with me.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

Someone who is very selfish. It’s not you, it’s him.
We are not made of stone...when someone betrays us...it's going to fucking hurt. If they humiliate us...it's going to hurt. You can feel those things and get angry. You deserve too. Don't pretend it away.
And what kind of person is he dating that allows him, her ex husband to live in the same place? Be happy you are the functional one who drew the line in the sand and wanted before for yourself and kids.
It's not your job...to demand him to be a better father. He terminated his relationship with you...not his kids. It's his job to step up and if he doesn't...don't blame yourself. Spend time healing, work on yourself and find a better father figure for your kids.
Something similar happened to a young kind beautiful friend of mine. Pregnant with her husbands second child and he literally was with his mistress as she was giving birth. I thought how brave she had to be...how strong she was...and horrible and selfish her husband was.
If you're jealous...just know in time...he is going to bring out his selfishness and assholery for the new woman.
Distance yourself, enjoy your newborn baby...and be proud of your strength...in a shitty situation.
Sending you light and love!
