Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

That said, I get that there's an urgency to your situation. I'm wondering if there's a social worker that you can talk to or therapist? You definitely deserve support right now. If you're feeling like you need some crisis support you can text "hello" to 741741 to chat with a live crisis counselor 24/7.
Sounds to me like you are. Unfortunately, you are suffering from an intense discrimination which is only GRADUALLY dissolving.
Generally speaking, ... in our culture, heterosexuality is 'normal' and homosexuality is not .... though I repeat, this is gradually changing.
Sometimes are tribes are our family members, but sometimes we form our own tribe as we get older and meet more like minded individuals. God never said...just stick around your family....be a worker bee...think like them, act like them, do what they say...and die like them. No.
Friendships, people who we will meet, experiences sculpt us. You are just 18...and all of this will be clear to you as you continue to age.
I think you should take the focus off of you being gay. Sometimes we want to throw all the problems on some aspect of ourselves. I think the reality is you're not getting the support you need. Focus on reaching out to new people, doing things you like and enjoy...and you will see their are accepting and loving individuals that are not looking at sexual preferences and passing judgment on the rest of who you are.
Focus on your personal growth, career goals, meeting new people, having fun, and enjoying yourself. Sometimes solutions, answers, and acceptance we are seeking come to us when we put what we perceive is the problem down...and get busy enjoying life again.
Take care and sending you light and love!
