Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Drugs work quickly. If they are going to work.
Foods and herbs take a bit of time, similar to vitamins.
Go on the internet and check them out for people suffering from Anxiety and depression.
Its not a big change, but it can help to build up your natural dopamine and serotonin levels.
A friend of mine, a much older woman. Had severe migraines all her life. To the point of vomiting often due to the pain. She found an herbalist. He made her something to drink, all natural.
She said after the 2nd week, she has not had a migraine since. He was an older Asian man, that had been doing this decades.
The internet will explain what foods help build up the Good chemicals in your system.
Beef, turkey without hormones. Blueberries, many things you eat already. But foods to stay away from.
It takes weeks for them to build up and for you to see/feel the effects.
You are here sharing, questioning, all good steps towards change. You are going through the process with the doctors and the drugs. Maybe add the whole body experience to it if you haven't already. What I mean is don't just try to treat the depression.
It's been my experience that you have to treat the whole you. The healthy parts as well as the unhealthy even if you don't think you are benefiting from it and absolutely dread the use of the energy. You have to do the things that used to make you smile, used to make you happy. cause that part of you is still alive just buried beneath the symptoms of our depression. you have to keep feeding it so that it stays alive and gets stronger at the same rate that you work to alleviate the negative symptom effects on your life.
anyway, that's been my experience. take it for what's worth. triple hugs
