Each morning it's a struggle. I never know what mood I'm going to be in one day to the next. This depression roller coaster is a terrible ride that I don't wish on anyone. I am doing OK....but, still don't feel like myself. I want myself back so bad......one without depression, anxiety and unwanted thoughts that intrude my mind. The thoughts are the worse, because it's hard to turn them off....thoughts of sad things. Things that are not realistic.....and I know it but it keeps peeking thru my brain. I am back to work, but struggling to get thru the day. Thank goodness, no one in the office notices.....but sometimes, I want to scream at my brain to STOP IT ALREADY.....YOU HAVE TORMENTED ME ENOUGH!

SURE CAN!!. I know it well. What I did was get medical treatment. I got an evaluation, diagnosis, and a treatment plan which pretty much prevents those feelings.
I recommend you do the same .. if you haven't already. If you HAVE, talk to your doctor .. tell him/her what you have posted. This is because it seems his/her treatment plan is not working. He/she can try a different treatment plan .. and determine on which will relieve all this for you. The sooner, the better.
Like you I wanted to get back to what i though was my old self and illness free.
But i know i cannot turn back time and have to move forward, i am a different person know more insightful and understanding, the illness has brough some positives.
All i would say is to take each day at a time and perhaps see your doctor or counsellor for some kind of treatment plan.
take care.
When your treatment plan is not working, it is necessary to get it reviewed, have a complete evaluation, and check the diagnosis.
I had depression come on after being treated for anxiety, and I chose to try the self help program first.
When the depression got worse, back to the doctor's I went, and I got the help I needed to get me back on track.
Let us know how it goes.
